✨ Reflection
I heard one word this morning — patience.
Not the kind people throw around casually.
The kind that costs you something.
The kind that exposes you.
All my life, I’ve been impatient.
And when I look back, every place I got hurt…I moved too soon.
I chose before I was ready.
I committed before I was healed.
I moved without direction.
And I paid for it.
Impatience will have you picking out of what’s broken in you —not what’s whole for you.
It will make you call something God never sent… yours.
It will have you forcing what was never meant to fit.
And when it falls apart, you’re left trying to understand how you got there.
But now I understand.
Patience isn’t punishment.
It’s protection.
It keeps you from stepping into things that would damage your dignity, interrupt your healing, and pull you out of alignment.
Because when you don’t wait — you choose from desperation.
From wounds.
From emptiness.
But when you wait on God…you choose from wholeness.
I didn’t know how to wait before.
I didn’t even know why it mattered.
But I know now. And this time — I’m not moving ahead of God.
