600 Days

Today, I realized that God has done far more in me than I have given Him credit for.

For 600 days, I have been intentional about seeking Him through His Word, prayer, and simply showing up, even when I didn't feel like it. Looking back, I don't just see changed circumstances. I see a changed heart.

I still have healing to do, but I am no longer the woman I was 600 days ago.

I have learned that my identity is not determined by who stayed, who left, who misunderstood me, or who failed to see my value. My identity has already been settled by God. People may form opinions about me, but they do not have the authority to define me.

Today, I also realized that I have been carrying expectations that God never asked me to carry. I thought I could fix relationships by trying harder, loving harder, giving more, and proving myself. Now I understand that love does not have to perform to be real. Obedience is my responsibility. The outcome belongs to God.

Another thing God has been teaching me is humility. There was a time when I would have told you I wasn't prideful because my definition of pride was different. Today, I see humility differently. Humility is not thinking less of myself. It is thinking more like Christ. It is being willing to obey Him without needing everything to happen on my timetable.

Today, I repented for saying I was broke. I am not broke. God has provided for me. I have resources. I have responsibilities. I have made intentional decisions about where those resources go. My words need to agree with what God has done, not simply with how I feel in the moment.

Most of all, I thank God that my heart is still soft.

After everything I have experienced, I still believe in love. I still believe in healthy relationships. I still believe God can restore what needs restoring and create what has never existed before. That is not because of my strength. It is because God has kept me.

Six hundred days later, I can honestly say that He is changing my view.

He is teaching me to mind my business, stop trying to manage adult logistics, stop looking for reactions, and simply obey Him.

I don't know what the next 600 days will hold, but I know this:

The God who has kept me for these 600 days is faithful enough to keep me for whatever comes next.
